David has been passionate about developing countries since being in Asia in 1998. His first exposure to Southeast Asia was during the Asian Financial Crisis when he worked in remote areas of Indonesia and saw first hand both the power of global financial markets and the benefits of long-term foreign investment. This experience was the driving force for his subsequent career.
David has a passion for fostering development through investing in and building businesses that both do well and do good, in particular in his area of expertise – financial services.
David is a Partner and Co-Founder at Triple P Capital, helping financial services companies in emerging Southeast Asia with new capital and expertise such that they can both grow profitably and help the communities in which they operate, particularly the emerging consumers and micro enterprises that are currently excluded. Previously, he has worked with LeapFrog and AIG. His education has been from the U.S. Naval Academy and MA from Johns Hopkins.
